Ready to get Dazed & Defrosted?
|
The spring celebrations just keep on coming at The Beast. After last weekend’s Pond Skim and kparks Spring-Send-Off, we’re bringing the heat once again this Saturday, April 18th as we look to celebrate you, our most loyal Beast fans. It’s time once again for our annual Season Pass Holder Appreciation Party, happening alongside the Dazed & Defrosted music festival bringing groovy tunes and spring energy to the K-1 base area. Even if you’re not a passholder, you’re more than welcome to be here for the spring bumps, cold brews, and live music that we’ll have on tap all afternoon.

Kicking things off on Saturday will be our free season pass holder appreciation lunch, available from 11:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. at K-1 Lodge. Please note that Beast 365, Unlimited Winter 25/26, and Midweek Pass holders will receive a free lunch after presenting their pass to a staff member, while all other guests may purchase food à la carte from the BBQ line. At 3:15 p.m., members of the prestigious 100 Day Club will gather near our stage for their annual group photo, followed immediately by a passholder-exclusive raffle. Big prizes will be up for grabs from our sponsors, including prize packs from Mammut and Burton or even a new set of Nokian Tyres!
Saturday’s live music lineup presented by Kona Big Wave starts at 1:00 p.m. with Joe Samba, featuring his trademark rock grit, reggae soul, island grooves, punchy guitar work, and dynamic vocals. From 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m., our headliner Kash’d Out will take the stage, bringing their own reggae grooves, catchy melodies, honest lyrics, and all-around good vibes. As always, enjoying the music outside the K-1 Lodge is free for all guests. If reggae isn’t your style, the nearby Superstar Umbrella Bar will also play host to a live set from DJ Get Loose from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. And the party isn’t just going late on stage—this Saturday, April 18th marks our first Saturday of the season where the Superstar Six will spin until 5:00 p.m., continuing each Saturday until we close.
Though we’ve enjoyed the classic spring days we’ve been treated to recently, this past week’s weather does come with a bit of bad news: while we tried our best to stretch the snow, Bear Mountain and Needles Eye will not be offering skiing & riding this weekend. Recent warm temperatures, combined with periods of rain and a lack of late-season natural snowfall, have reduced snow coverage in the Bear and Needles Eye areas to the point where skiing and riding is no longer possible. This Sunday, April 19th will also be our last day of operations (conditions permitting) on the Ramshead Quad, Snowdon Six, North Ridge Quad, and K-1 Gondola, but you already know we’ll be spinning the Superstar Six as long as we possibly can after that.
Finally, it’s not too late to take advantage of maybe our hottest spring deal out there: rooms at the Killington Grand Hotel are still available starting at just $246 from now through April 30th. After reserving your room(s), you’ll be able to add on lift tickets for just $49 each. Stay right in the heart of the spring skiing capital of the East, including during our upcoming Decked Out Days with a special retro theme.
See you on the slopes!
