Cold Weather Prep This Saturday
|
The forecast is calling for very cold temperatures this Saturday, January 24. Here are some tips to stay safe:
- Ask for hand warmers and toe warmers if you need them—don’t wait until you’re already cold
- Bring extra layers: warm socks, base layers, hats, and gloves are strongly encouraged
- Cover all exposed skin while working outside to help prevent frostbite
- Stay hydrated – all working staff on Saturday will have unlimited free fountain drinks, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate
- Look out for your fellow staff members, especially those working outdoors and check in often
- Take frequent warming breaks and stay fueled- eat well before you go out; calories will help keep you warm
- Non-peak parking rules will be in effect for staff this weekend.

Employee, Volunteer & Dependent F&B Discount Update
We’d like to share a quick update on staff dining discounts to help ensure a great experience for guests and you, our team members, during our busiest times.
Preston’s
Good news: Fridays are no longer restricted for staff discounts at Preston’s!
However, staff food (60%) and alcohol (50%) discounts are restricted on Saturdays (effective Sat. Dec. 20), as well as peak and holiday dates February 14–16.
The Ledgewood Yurt
New & Improved! We’re excited to introduce a new staff discount at the Yurt:
25% off food and alcohol on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays FOR WALK-INS ONLY.
No staff food or alcohol discounts on Saturdays, Sundays, or peak/holiday dates February 14–16.
K-1 Lodge & Peak Lodge
There are no discount restrictions at these locations. However, to help enhance our guests experience during high-volume times, we kindly ask staff to avoid dining at K-1 or the Peak Lodge between 12–2 pm on Saturdays and peak/holiday dates when possible.
Thank you for your flexibility and support during our busiest periods and we’re glad to be able to add new opportunities for staff discounts this season.

Reciprocal Letter Requests

Planning a trip to another ski resort?
A reminder that all reciprocal letter requests must be submitted through the online form on The Beast Link at:
www.killington.com/employee → Search “Reciprocal.”
Please remember: Requests submitted more than two weeks in advance
will be automatically denied.

Forgot Your Pass at Home?
You already know that if you've lost your employee pass, you get a new one in the Human Resources office. But if you forgot your employee pass at home, go to a ticket window and ask for a one-day employee forgot pass ticket.
You'll receive a temporary RFID card that you can use through the gates and for other employee discounts.
To reactivate your employee pass the next day, just take it through one of the lift gates, or call HR at (802) 422-6709 with your employee pass in hand.
The temporary RFID card is meant to only be used for the one day. It is NOT meant to replace your employee pass.
