We are reaching out with an exciting new opportunity for your family this winter. Killington Resort and Pico Mountain are partnering with six local ski and snowboard shops to launch the Vermont Youth Ski and Ride Free Lease Program – a $60,000 investment in our local community to help over 300 local students access winter sports while also supporting our local ski and snowboard shops.
What is the Youth Ski & Ride Free Lease Program?
This program provides free seasonal equipment leases (skis or snowboard and boots) for children who:
|
- Are 11 years old or younger (As of January 31, 2026)
- Have a Vermont Student Pass to Killington/Pico
- Live in Rutland or Windsor counties
|
Our goal is to increase youth access to the mountains, encourage a lifelong love of skiing and riding, and lessen the financial burden on local families.
How it works:
- You are receiving this email from us because you are eligible for the seasonal lease program.
- Below is a coupon along with a unique code to redeem at the participating ski shop of your choice.
- Fill out the coupon and bring it with you to one of the participating local ski/snowboard shops along with your Vermont Student Pass purchase confirmation and unique code.
- The shop will help you get your child properly fitted and set up with seasonal lease equipment under this program.
One-time use promo code for %%childs name%%: %%code%%.
This unique code is valid through January 31, 2026.

We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity as soon as possible—Killington Resort is open for the season and Pico Mountain is scheduled to open on December 12.
Why we’re doing this At Killington Resort and Pico Mountain, the mission of Upward and Outward is to:
|
- Respect our people and our environment
- Connect by making meaningful relationships in our community
- Project leadership in doing good and giving back
|
This free youth equipment lease program is one way we’re putting those values, Respect, Connect, and Project, into action by supporting local families and helping more kids get outside, stay active, and enjoy winter on the mountain.
