Happy Mogul Challenge weekend!

Despite some doctored imagery you may have seen on April 1st, we can assure you that Superstar is alive and well. Outside of that, we’re still offering up the most terrain in the East, even despite the recent weather. Our grooming team continues to work wonders each night, keeping us going on the slopes during some fluctuating temps. And in case you missed it at the end of last week, we still have enough snow on Great Eastern for one more weekend of peak-to-creek laps this upcoming Friday through Sunday. Not often do you get to ski & ride on such a long cruiser in April!

Beyond Skyeship, this weekend marks your last opportunity of the season for a few more attractions around the mountain. Sunday, April 5th will be this winter’s last day of operation for our Snowshed Express Quad and the Snowshed Lodge, including the Long Trail Pub. Accordingly, it’s also your last weekend to book a group lesson, a Learn to Lesson, or a Ministars lesson, though private lessons will still be available Friday through Sunday through April 12th. The Jerk Jamaican Mountain Grill will only be open through this Sunday as well, before introductory steps on the location’s future upgrades begin this summer (more to come on that). The Peak Lodge will also cease daily operations after this Sunday but will re-open for one last weekend (April 11th and 12th), weather permitting. Finally, Pico Mountain will close for the season after this Sunday, featuring their own Easter Egg Hunt in the morning followed by the end-of-day commemorative party lap from the summit.

We've got plenty more time left on the slopes, but Memorial Day weekend and the opening of our Bike Park will be here before you know it. For those looking to plan ahead, many of our summer season passes are now available, from Adult and Youth Unlimited Bike Park passes to our Adventure Center Season Pass and more! You can even sign up your kids for a Youth Bike Camp, or spend your summer and fall in the skies with a Scenic Gondola Season Pass. Lock in daily lift access at New England’s premier bike park through May 21st to secure your best rate.

SUMMER SEASON PASSES

Our Events Team is still firmly locked in on spring, especially with another classic springtime event coming up this weekend. Saturday, April 4th brings the return of the Bear Mountain Mogul Challenge, our annual day of amateur mogul revelry at the base of Outer Limits. Though registration is full, there’s always more room at the party, where you’ll be treated to live music from Nick & Rhys as well as Jamie’s Junk Show, plus some giveaways from our friends at Michelob ULTRA. Refer to the bottom of our event page for some party tips, and consider parking at Skyeship or another base area and skiing into the venue at Bear if you’re not an early riser on the weekend.

Helping round out this Easter weekend is our (sold out) Easter Sunrise Service on Sunday, April 5th, with all ticket sales going to benefit the Killington Rec Department. That’ll be quickly followed by our annual Easter Egg Hunt starting at 8:30 a.m. in the K-1 base area. Kids 12 & under will be able to search for a number of treats left behind by our resident Easter Bunny, which could include candy, a youth season pass, an Adventure Center pass, and more! And don’t forget, our spectator-friendly Pond Skim is right around the corner as well on Saturday, April 11th.

See you on the slopes!
