It's Official - The Beast is Fiercely Independent!

 

"Today I email you with the official word that Killington and Pico are now under the ownership of a group of passionate local passholders. With the closing of the sale, we are excited to announce $30 million in capital investments to be completed over the next several seasons including 1,000 new low-energy snow guns (500 are being installed ahead of the 2024-25 winter season), a new high speed, six-person chairlift on Superstar and all new cabins on the Skyeship Gondola, plus a new barn to keep them in. We also plan to invest in summer amenities, expanding on our already awesome bike park."

2024-25 Employee Kick-Off Orientation

 

 

Currently employed, rehire & returning staff are encouraged to join the Killington Leadership Team for this years orientation and lite hors d'oeuvre, drinks and live music immediately following the presentation.

If you have a department specific orientation you are not required to attend this meeting. Please check with your manager or supervisor if you are not sure before signing up.

 

We would love to encourage as many staff as possible to attend on October 7th, but if you can't, stay tuned for future orientation dates.

Changes to Childcare Operations

 

Ramshead Childcare is closed weekends. Operations will be Monday - Friday 7:45am-4:30pm. 

 

We will be open on weekend days by request for some of our events so staff can work those events:

 

Harvest Faire - October 12th

 

Staff will need to reach out to Charity or Laura if they need care any of these dates two weeks in advance so we can properly staff the center.

 

As more events are planned/confirmed we will look at those dates as well.

 

Employees are reminded that Ramshead Childcare is able to watch children from ages 12 weeks - 12 years.

Mountain Biking Reciprocal Privileges 

 

We are pleased to be able to offer reciprocal bike park riding privileges at many of the best and upcoming bike parks in the Northeast!

 

*Each Bike Park may have a different process for Killington employees to receive complimentary Bike Park Lift Tickets at their respective locations, so please follow the Bike Park's instructions for voucher redemption, and be prepared to provide any and all required items to receive your complimentary lift ticket.*

 

At this time, only Killington employees may receive complimentary lift tickets as most bike parks are asking for proof of employment. Dependents will NOT be honored for complimentary tickets, but we hope you still go bike and purchase anything extra.

Resort Update

• The final day of operations at the Golf Course, Adventure Center and K-1 Gondola is Oct. 14th, then lifts will remain open Fri. - Sun. for mountain biking through Oct. 27th. See Operating Schedule for more details.

   

• All lifts will close at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, October 7th for our Rehire/Currently Employed Orientation and kickoff party at 4:30 pm in K-1 Base Lodge. 

   

• We've got a couple fun events on the horizon including Mountain Bike Season Passholder Appreciation Day on Oct. 6th, the KSC Monster Ski & Bike Sale starting on Oct. 11th, and Harvest Faire on October 12th.
