Employee Ski Day, Lift Evac Training, Mountain
Clean-up & Appreciation Party - May 7, 2026
On Thursday, May 7, we’ll be hosting an employee-only ski day on Superstar, along with our annual lift evacuation training, spring cleanup effort, and employee appreciation party. The mountain will be closed to the public, with skiing and riding limited to Superstar only and ending at 3:00 p.m.
To attend the appreciation party, employees will need to sign up for either the lift evac training or the cleanup effort, unless they are already working that day. Please also note that only active employees are eligible to be paid, and employees will only be paid for time spent participating in the lift evac training or cleanup activities. Time spent free skiing/riding or attending the party will be off the clock.

Reminder: Grand Hotel Temporary Closure May 1–14
|
The Grand Hotel will be temporarily closed for all services from end of day
May 1 through May 14, with plans to reopen on May 15.
This is a planned closure to support several major improvement projects, including a significant upgrade to the hotel’s water system. In May, we’ll have a large plumbing team onsite installing 15 isolation valves. Currently, the Grand operates with a single system shutoff, which means any repair impacts the entire building. This upgrade will allow us to isolate issues moving forward and avoid full-building disruptions, improving the overall guest experience.
Important: This is a full shutdown of the Grand. There will be no lodging, Preston’s dining, cafe/coffee service, SPA operations, health club and pool, or other amenities available during this time.

• K1 Food Court – Grill (staff only) open Mon–Thurs (May 4–7 & May 11–14)
11:00 AM – 1:00 PM with rotating specials
• Fri., Sat. & Sun: staff welcome at the RBU BBQ
• Starting May 18: Snowshed open daily for staff
Please note: The Grand Café will be closed May 1 – May 15.
During this time, K1 will be the only staff dining location.

Forgot Your Pass at Home?
You already know that if you've lost your employee pass, you get a new one in the Human Resources office. But if you forgot your employee pass at home, go to a ticket window and ask for a one-day employee forgot pass ticket.
You'll receive a temporary RFID card that you can use through the gates and for other employee discounts.
To reactivate your employee pass the next day, just take it through one of the lift gates, or call HR at (802) 422-6709 with your employee pass in hand.
The temporary RFID card is meant to only be used for the one day. It is NOT meant to replace your employee pass.

- After May 3, the Superstar Six will be open 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Fri. (and May 25) and 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Sat. & Sun. We do not have a closing date at this time and will stay open for as long as possible, conditions permitting.
- Please stay off bike trails until opening day of the Bike Park on May 22, as riding now will only create more work for Trail Crew.
- This Saturday, May 2nd is VT Green Up Day. If you’d like to participate in the town of Killington, trash bags will be available to pick up at the town’s Transfer Station, Public Safety Building, or Welcome Center. Full bags of trash can be dropped at the Transfer Station or in the Welcome Center parking lot between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
